Blasphemous 2 is a 2023 side-scrolling metroidvania developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17. It follows the return of the Penitent One in a new struggle against The Miracle, sending players through a grotesque, non-linear world filled with traps, monsters, and towering bosses. The game expands the original with new weapons, deeper character customization, brutal combat, and exploration-focused progression, while keeping the series’ dark religious imagery and gothic tone.
