      The sound issue in Total Overdose usually happens because of outdated audio drivers, missing DirectX files, incompatible sound settings, or the game not working properly on modern Windows versions. Try running the game in compatibility mode, install/update DirectX and audio drivers, and set the audio quality to 16-bit 44100Hz from Windows sound settings. Reinstalling the game can also fix missing sound files.
