How to Install?

  1. Extract the file using Winrar. (Download Winrar)
  2. Open “Sleeping Dogs 1” folder, double click on “Setup” and install it.
  3. After installation complete, go to the folder where you extract the game.
  4. Open “SKIDROW” folder, copy all files and paste it where you install the game.
  5. Then double click on “HKShip.exe” to play the game. Done!

    Hey, I hope you answer this cuz I usually doubt that comments in sites like these may don’t get answers…

    I keep getting error 0x0000142 (if I remember correctly)
    Any help on that?

    Also, I’ve actually already disabled antivirus after the buddha.dll file was detected by WinDefender and tried to restore it before I even run it and gets the error. Is that what causes it? Or something else?

    Sorry for talking too much. Hope you help me solve this since I’m really hyped to play this game.

    There’s no “Setup” app, even after multiple re-installations and both anti virus and windows defender disabled. I downloaded the 3GB parts by the way.

        I did everything correctly, Disabled anti virus and win protection, installed redistribution and now it’s saying application was unable to start correctly 0x0000142, when I check event viewer, it’s saying buddha.dll is the issue, I’ve re installed multiple times and i have made sure anti virus doesn’t delete buddha.dll but still nothing

          Brother, please watch the video first. In the video it clearly shows the file “buddha.dll” along with two other files that the game needs. After the installation is complete, open the Skidrow folder, copy all the files, and paste them into the folder where you installed the game.

          In the video, after the setup finishes, we copy the Skidrow folder files (which include buddha.dll) and paste them directly into the game folder.

    I’ve done all of that, the file isn’t missing, it’s in the game folder, I did exactly what the video told me to do, i copied everything from Skidrow to the main game folder but I’ll try to install and extract a few more times, thanks for trying to help

      Okay brother, thanks for letting me know. If the file is already in the game folder and you followed the video exactly, then try extracting and installing the game again. Sometimes files get corrupted during download or extraction. Make sure antivirus or Windows Defender is turned off during extraction and installation. Let me know if it works after trying again. I will try to find a preinstalled version of the game so you can play it without installation.

          Ok brother, give me some time so I can try to find a preinstalled setup for you. This one works fine for me. By the way, what exactly error are you seeing when you start the game? Can you send me a screenshot?

          Also try to search that exact error on Google. Many times the same error already has a solution online, so you can confirm whether it’s a setup problem or an issue with your Windows. Sometimes games fail to launch because of missing files, drivers, or system conflicts, not the game setup itself.

            I also have the same problem
            But I copied the files in “cracked fixed”(instead of skidrew) to the game folder directly and it loaded the game (showed couples of logos) then it goes white after that
            I will trying tho till I have a solution

    cuz I am not seeing what I am doing wrong
    It keeps showing error of virtual machine stuff and a error 0x0000142 after if copy the files in skidrow
    But if I copy the files in “crack fixed” it loads the game for about 2 secs then shows a white screen after
    I have watched tons of videos still No fix

        I fixed it(none of the video helped had to install like 8 times over and over again and skidrow was the problem)
        but crashes after a while
        Will find a solution for the crashes later

            Error 0xc0000142 usually means the game or app failed to start properly because of missing/corrupted system files, broken Visual C++ or DirectX components, antivirus blocking files, or damaged game files. To fix it, restart your PC first, then run the game as Administrator, install or repair Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, DirectX, and .NET Framework, verify the game files or reinstall the game, and make sure Windows Defender or any antivirus has not quarantined crack or game files. If it still appears, update your graphics drivers and try launching the game after a clean reinstall.

            Good thing u said “most” but not all especially for old games like this where it is not stated in the video that we should copy the files in “crack fixed” not “skidrow”
            And even for the crashes I haven’t actually found solution for that but u haven’t still addressed that yest
